It didn’t take long – //BUILD is barely over, and Peter Kellner already got a Windows 8 / Metro / HTML5 meetup group started. If you live in the Silicon Valley and want to know what Windows 8 is about and what it means for a developer, the first meetup is scheduled for Monday, October 17. Check it out:

If you live in the San Francisco area and are interested in Windows Phone development, you should check out the newly formed Windows Phone Developers meetup. The first meeting will take place on Thursday, September 22. The plan is to follow the “101 Windows Phone Apps” book, and learn how to write applications by working through actual examples – sounds like a great way to get started!
